CENTRESTAGE 2020 Virtual Fashion Show

Happy post fashion week my loves,

I know this past fashion week was not what we expected but it has also come with silver linings. Since all the show has been hosted virtually, I was given a unique chance of viewing some amazing collections from across the seas from Hong Kong.

CENTRESTAGE 2020 showcased 40+ Asian designers in 6 virtual fashion shows that featured extravagant themes that captured the imagination. The 3 day event was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and sponsored by Create Hong Kong which also featured an additional 240 fashion brands and designers on their online creative hub.

This year CENTRESTAGE transformed into a digital fashion showcase for the first time, delivering a brand new virtual experience where the physical and digital worlds converge — A World of Phygital. You can check out all the amazing designers and their shows through THIS LINK

One of my favorite designers I saw was METHODOLOGY

METHODOLOGY launched its first collection in 2012 at Lane Crawford Hong Kong by designer Glori Tsui. Tsui’s background in illustration inspired her to incorporate elements of fine art paintings and experiment with contrasting materials, shapes, and forms to showcase both the femininity and toughness of a girl. After pursuing a Master’s Degree in Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University in the UK and working at Paul Smith, Tsui decided to focus on sustainable fashion and use upcycled leather as the core of her accessories collection. Most of the brand’s designs are transformable and multi-functional, encouraging customers to blend their creativity and discover their timeless style. The brand has a strong global footprint with a presence in mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and the Middle East

The following are three of my favorite bags from the collection. The bags from the collection were unique and special. I love the coils around the handles and the soft supple leather the designer decided to use. The collection was casual yet elegant, perfect for any occasion.
